Most home cleanouts and remodels fit a 15 or 20-yard container; heavy debris like concrete, dirt and shingles goes in a 10 or 15-yard because of weight; renovations and new builds take a 30 or 40-yard. Describe the job and we size it on the phone, or see our dumpster sizes page.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What size dumpster do I need?
- How much does dumpster rental cost in Augusta? We quote one flat price up front based on the container size and the material. It includes delivery, the rental period, pickup and a disposal weight allowance; the only possible extra is the per-ton overage rate we state on the same quote. Call (706) 843-6059 for a number in one call.
- Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Augusta? Not on your own driveway or private lot. In an Augusta street, the City treats the container as an obstruction of the right-of-way: a Permission to Impede Right of Way request through the Engineering Department’s Traffic Division, with the dates, a traffic-control detail and proof of insurance, 24 hours’ notice on 706-821-1847, and a light on the container overnight. Our permit guide has the details.
- How fast can you deliver?Call before noon and we can usually deliver the same afternoon across Augusta, North Augusta, Martinez, Clearwater and Hephzibah. Otherwise, next day.
- How long can I keep the dumpster? As long as your project needs. Most home rentals run three to seven days; contractors keep containers for weeks with swaps. Tell us the dates when you book and we extend if the job runs over.
- What can’t go in the dumpster?Georgia bars lead-acid batteries from the trash and whole tires from landfills, and the Augusta landfill refuses liquids, hazardous waste and unsealed asbestos. Refrigerant appliances need the gas recovered and certified first, and paint, chemicals and propane go to a household hazardous waste programme. Yard trimmings are fine; the landfill takes them as inert material. Our guide lists where each item goes.
- Where does the waste go?To the Augusta Solid Waste and Recycling Facility on Deans Bridge Road in Blythe, which takes household waste, construction debris and inert material at posted per-ton rates, or for Columbia County jobs to the Sample and Son landfill in Grovetown. The City’s curbside bulk collection will not take construction debris, so a roll-off is the practical route.
- Will the dumpster damage my driveway? We set the container down rather than dragging it and put boards under the rails on request. Tell us if the surface is new or decorative and we will plan the placement around it.
- Can I put a dumpster on the street in North Augusta, Aiken or Columbia County?North Augusta requires written notice to the Public Safety Director at least two hours before anything sits in a street; Aiken allows it only as part of a city-permitted construction project; Columbia County publishes no dumpster permit, so Martinez, Evans and Appling come down to your driveway and your HOA; Grovetown requires construction containers on the lot, not the street. Each service-area page states what the place publishes and who to ring.
- Do you offer junk removal as well as dumpsters?Yes. Our junk removal crew loads, hauls and disposes of furniture, appliances and whole-house cleanouts, priced by the load with a firm quote on site.
- How much space does the truck need?About 60 feet of straight clearance to back in and roll the container off, and roughly 14 feet of overhead clearance, free of low wires and branches. Send a photo of the spot if you are unsure.
- Can I fill it above the top?No. The load must be level with the top rail so the truck can tarp it and travel legally. We will ask you to level an overfilled container before we haul it.
- What happens if I go over the weight allowance? You pay the per-ton overage rate we quoted when you booked, nothing more. Light loads rarely get near the allowance; heavy loads are why we size concrete, dirt and shingles into smaller containers.
- Do you serve outside Augusta?Yes: Martinez, Evans, Grovetown, Harlem and Appling in Columbia County, Hephzibah and Blythe in Richmond County, and North Augusta, Aiken, Graniteville and Clearwater in Aiken County, South Carolina. See the service area.
